Laser Rangefinder: QRF-4500 Series (Optional: Ballistic computer)

The QRF-4500 series is a family of compact military grade laser rangefinders from GSCI Advanced Photonics designed for weapon mounting alongside day scopes, night vision, and thermal devices on Picatinny and Weaver rails.

Both models use an eye-safe 1550 nm Class 1 laser ranging to 4,500 m, integrate GPS and compass, and are built to IP67 standards with a 7-year warranty. The difference is what they do with the range data after they have it.

Features

Both models share the following:

  • Eye-safe 1550 nm laser – Class 1, suitable for training environments and professional operational use
  • Rail mounted – Picatinny and Weaver compatible for co-mounting alongside primary optics without obstructing controls
  • Sub-1 m distance accuracy – Less than 1 m precision across the full ranging envelope
  • Integrated GPS and compass – Real-time positioning with coordinate output in DMS format
  • OLED display – Anti-glare 0.96″ display with brightness control for day and night use
  • IP67 environmental protection – Rated for water and dust in demanding field conditions
  • Operating temperature – -40°C to +50°C covering arctic to desert environments
  • 7-year limited warranty – Backed by GSCI Advanced Photonics with local maintenance support

Operational success

The QRF-4500S™-BC supports operators across various mission profiles, from reconnaissance and surveillance to precision engagement and target designation. Its compact form factor and ergonomic controls make it easy to operate in the field, whether mounted on a rifle or used as a handheld unit.

With continuous measurement capability and user-friendly functionality, it helps teams maintain tactical superiority under any environmental conditions, day or night.

Choose the QRF-4500 if you need a compact, lightweight rail mounted laser rangefinder that outputs precise range and coordinates to an external ballistic system or C2 platform. It is the cleaner option for operators who already have ballistic solutions integrated elsewhere in their setup.

Choose the QRF-4500S-BC if you need an all-in-one solution with an integrated ballistic computer, weather station, and dual laser aiming system. It removes the need for a separate ballistic device and is the better choice for direct engagement and target designation roles where first-round hit solutions are required from a single unit.

Frequently Asked Questions

The QRF-4500 is a ranging and coordinate module that outputs data to external ballistic computers and C2 systems. The QRF-4500S-BC adds a built-in ballistic computer with 20 profiles, an integrated weather station, dual laser aiming, and Bluetooth connectivity, making it a self-contained targeting solution that does not require a separate ballistic device.

Yes. Both models mount on Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) and Weaver rails for co-mounting alongside day scopes, night vision devices, and thermal imagers without blocking host optic controls.

Yes. Both models use a 1550 nm Class 1 laser that is eye-safe for training environments and professional use without additional eye protection requirements for the operator or nearby personnel.
