Features
- Four rear functions in one module family: stop, tail, turn signal and reverse in the same 112 mm format, with up to four functions per module, so one lamp design covers the whole rear signal set.
- Double and triple module options: modules can be grouped into double or triple assemblies, so the rear lamp is sized to the functions the vehicle needs and the space available on the body or bumper.
- Light guide optics: the LED light is carried through a light guide and released across the lit surface, giving each function an even, layered 3D signature instead of a pattern of separate LED points.
- Long service life: designed to last more than 10 years, which removes routine lamp replacement from the maintenance schedule.
- EMC certified: certified for electromagnetic compatibility, which matters on vehicles that carry radios and other electronic equipment.
- One lamp family across the fleet: suitable for commercial trucks, off-road and specialist vehicles, which keeps the number of different rear lamps in stores low.
What Is a 3D Modular LED Tail Light?
A 3D modular LED tail light is a combination rear lamp built from standard 112 mm modules. Each module carries rear signal functions, and modules are grouped into single, double or triple assemblies to give the vehicle the functions it needs. The Model 3D brings stop, tail, turn signal and reverse together in one compact, low-profile lamp, alongside the other LED rear lights in our range.
“3D” refers to the optics. A light guide directs light from the LEDs along a shaped transparent element and releases it across the visible surface. The result is a uniform lit area with visible depth, a technique widely used in modern tail lamp design. For following traffic, each function reads as one clear, even signal.
Integration on Military and Specialist Vehicles
The Model 3D is a service lamp: it provides the stop, tail, turn and reversing signals a vehicle needs in normal driving. On logistic and support vehicles and commercial-based platforms it can form the complete rear signal set. It has no blackout mode, so where a vehicle must also drive under blackout, fit it alongside dedicated military blackout lights, or choose our tail lights with blackout function, which combine both modes in one housing.
For single-function modules in aluminium housings, including rear fog and blackout modules, see our military tail lights. The Model 3D connects through a 150 mm flying lead with an AMP connector and runs on 12 V and 24 V vehicle systems.

Built for High-Pressure Washdown and Long Service Life
Rear lamps face spray, mud and repeated cleaning. IP69K is the most severe water rating in the IP ratings scheme: under ISO 20653 the lamp stays dust-tight and withstands water at 80 °C and 80 to 100 bar, sprayed from 10 to 15 cm, so the vehicle can be pressure-washed without water ingress.
A service life of more than 10 years reduces maintenance further. Solid-state LEDs have no filament to fail under shock and vibration, so lamp changes, spares and downtime all fall.
Frequently Asked Questions
Stop, tail, turn signal and reverse. The 112 mm modules support up to four functions per module, and double and triple module options let you build the rear lamp around the functions and mounting space of the vehicle.
The lamp is dust-tight and resists high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. The ISO 20653 test sprays water at 80 °C and 80 to 100 bar from 10 to 15 cm, at angles of 0, 30, 60 and 90 degrees. In practice this means the lamp can be cleaned with a pressure washer or steam cleaner without water ingress.
The lamp is listed as meeting ECE R48 and SAE standards, sealed to IP69K and certified for electromagnetic compatibility. ECE R48 sets the requirements for installing lighting and light-signalling devices on motor vehicles and trailers. If your project needs specific approval markings for the individual lamp functions, tell us at the quotation stage and we will confirm them.
Yes, as service lighting on logistic and support vehicles and commercial-based platforms. It has no blackout mode. For vehicles that must also drive under blackout, combine it with dedicated blackout lamps, or choose a tail light with a built-in blackout function.
It has a 150 mm flying lead with an AMP connector for a secure connection, runs on 12V to 24 V DC and uses a low-profile mount, so the lamp sits close to the mounting surface.
The Model 3D uses 112 mm light guide modules in an ABS housing with an acrylic lens and covers stop, tail, turn signal and reverse. Our single-function modules have aluminium housings, one function per module, and also include rear fog and blackout modules for military vehicles that need service and blackout lighting in one rear layout.
