Features
- Shutterless Auto-NUC sensor – No shutter activation during operation means no image interruption at critical moments, unlike conventional thermal weapon sights that pause briefly to recalibrate
- 12-micron and 17-micron FPA options – 12-micron provides higher resolution imagery in a compact format; 17-micron offers a proven sensor with extended field of view for longer range detection
- 8+8 electronic reticle patterns – 16 reticle configurations covering standard crosshairs, mil-dot, and ballistic reticle formats for different weapon and engagement types
- 2x and 4x digital zoom – Extends effective engagement range without changing objective lenses
- 0.6-inch AMOLED display at 800×600 – Full-size display with monochrome plus 8 color palettes for image customization based on environmental conditions
- COA clip-on adapter option – The optional COA optical adapter converts the TI-GEAR-S into an in-line clip-on thermal sight for use in front of an existing day scope, adding thermal capability without replacing the primary optic
- Up to 15 hours battery life – 7 hours on CR123 batteries, extendable to 15 hours with the MVP-240 multi-voltage battery pack for extended operations
Built for Long-Term Military Use
The thermal weapon sight market offers a wide range of options, but the TI-GEAR-S is positioned specifically for units that need a long-service-life precision thermal sight rather than a consumer-grade or entry-level system.
The shutterless Auto-NUC correction eliminates the brief image freeze that conventional thermal weapon sights produce during recalibration. In a precision shooting or surveillance role, that interruption matters. The TI-GEAR-S maintains continuous display output throughout operation.
The adjustable shock sensor monitors recoil events and flags when the sight may have shifted zero, prompting the operator to re-verify before the next engagement rather than continuing with an undetected zero shift. For long-range thermal weapon sight applications where shot placement is critical, this is a meaningful capability.
The COA adapter option allows the TI-GEAR-S to function as a clip-on thermal sight placed in front of a day scope, adding thermal imaging to an existing optic without re-zeroing. For dedicated clip-on thermal applications, our TI-GEAR-C precision thermal clip-on sight is designed specifically for that role.
