Developed in-house by Oxley’s team of mechanical, optical, and electronics engineers over a 10-month period, the light features an internal microprocessor and certified software to ensure consistent performance, even in extreme conditions. The development of a custom-built lens allowed the team to achieve the necessary light output, ensuring that the product could meet aerospace specifications while offering a long operational life.

Dual Mode Landing Light

The Dual Mode Landing Light is a versatile solution specifically designed for military aircraft, offering both visible and covert modes. Controlled from the cockpit, this landing light allows for full illumination during standard operations and covert mode during night vision goggle (NVG) flights. With a peak intensity of 200,000 cd in visible mode and a durable construction featuring a toughened borofloat glass lens, this light is built to withstand harsh conditions while providing reliable performance with an MTBF of over 10,000 hours.
