Features
- Work lamp and indicator in one housing: a white LED spot beam and an amber LED turn signal share one lamp, so one mounting point and one connector cover both jobs at the corner of a machine or cab.
- Spot beam for reach: the narrow beam concentrates the light far ahead of the lamp instead of spreading it around the vehicle, for travel paths, yard lanes and distant loads.
- Three independent inputs: separate pins for work light, turn and park/tail let the crew switch the work light on its own while the turn signal stays on the vehicle’s flasher circuit.
- One part from 12 V trucks to 48 V electric machines: the manufacturer publishes current draw at 12, 24, 36 and 48 V DC, so one stock item serves road vehicles and battery-electric material handling equipment.
- Protected against voltage spikes: the electronics are rated for transient spikes of 330 V peak, which matters on machines where motors, pumps and contactors switch heavy loads.
- No filament to fail: solid-state LEDs withstand the shock and vibration of forklifts, plant and off-highway work, and the turn signal reaches full output on every flash.
- A housing that cannot rust: the polycarbonate housing and UV-resistant lens do not corrode under washdown or road salt and resist degradation in sunlight.

What is an LED work light with turn signal?
An LED work light with turn signal combines a work lamp, which lights the area in front of a machine for the task in hand, with an amber direction indicator in one housing. It is fitted where the corner of a forklift overhead guard, a telehandler or tractor cab, or a utility truck body needs both a work light and a turn signal, and a second lamp, bracket and harness branch would add cost and clutter.
Model 775 XD is J.W. Speaker’s 3″ x 5″ oval XD Series lamp of this type, part number 1707201. It is one of our LED signal lights and is also listed with our work lights. The manufacturer lists it for material handling, construction, mining, agriculture, railroad, truck and bus, and specialty vehicles.

The 775 XD Lights the Work Area and Signals the Turn
On a forklift or compact loader the corners of the overhead guard or cab are crowded: work lamps, mirrors, beacons and indicators compete for the same few mounting points. The 775 XD puts the forward work beam and the amber turn signal in one 3″ x 5″ housing on one pedestal mount, so the lamp that lights the travel path also shows pedestrians and other drivers which way the machine will turn.
On mixed fleets the 12V to 48V DC input matters as much as the lamp itself: the same part 1707201 fits a 12 V utility vehicle, a 24 V truck and a 36 V or 48 V electric forklift. On military support vehicles, wire the work light and the turn signal to the service lighting circuits so both go dark when the crew selects blackout. Where the vehicle also needs a turn warning along its flank, add dedicated side turn signal lights.

Frequently Asked Questions
Check the approval category first. The manufacturer lists part 1707201 to ECE Regulation 6, the UN regulation for direction indicators, but does not publish the category. Under Regulation 6, categories 1, 1a and 1b are front indicators, 2a and 2b rear indicators, and 5 and 6 side indicators, and the category is shown on the lamp’s approval mark. Where the 775 XD must count as a required indicator on a road-registered vehicle, ask us for the approval mark before you specify it. See ECE Regulations 6, 7 and 91.
Both are Model 775 XD parts, and 1707201 is the one on the manufacturer’s current product page. J.W. Speaker’s 2016 XD Series brochure lists Model 775 XD as part 1706301, a 12-48V spot beam lamp with amber turn signal and 440 effective lumens. The current part 1707201 is rated at 620 effective lumens. If your fleet records or spares lists show 1706301, ask us to confirm that the connector and mounting match your installation before you order 1707201 as the replacement.
Part 1707201 has a 4-pin Deutsch DT06-4S weatherproof plug: pin 1 park/tail, pin 2 work light, pin 3 turn, pin 4 ground (manufacturer data). Connect pin 2 to a switched work light circuit, pin 3 to the flasher output for that side of the vehicle and, if you use the park function, pin 1 to the position lamp circuit. The turn signal draws only 0.180 A at 12 V DC, so a bulb-type flasher may flash too fast; see hyper flashing with LED lights.
When the lamp position does not need a turn signal. The 775 XD has one beam pattern, spot. For a flood or trapezoid beam, the oval Model 735 comes in flood, spot and trapezoid versions, and Model 670 XD adds heated versions for snow and ice. Where the operator needs a view behind the machine, the Model 4415 LED work light with integrated camera combines a work lamp with a camera system. Choose the 775 XD when one lamp must light the work and signal the turn.
