Features
- No re-zeroing required – Clips directly onto your existing day scope without disturbing ballistic zero, allowing rapid switching between day and thermal operation in the field
- Shutterless Auto-NUC sensor – No shutter freeze during operation, delivering continuous uninterrupted thermal imagery unlike conventional thermal clip-on scopes that pause briefly to recalibrate
- Six lens options from 25mm to 100mm – Match the objective lens to your operational range requirement, from close-range urban use to long-range detection and surveillance
- 384×288 and 640×480 sensor options – Higher resolution 640×480 sensor for greater detail and longer effective recognition range
- 2x and 4x digital zoom – Extends effective identification range without changing lenses
- Up to 15 hours battery life – 7 hours on CR123 batteries, extendable to 15 hours with the MVP-240 battery pack for extended operations
- Exceeds IP67 – Fully dust and waterproof, all-aluminum housing built to exceed modern MIL environmental standards
The Right Clip-On Thermal for Your Setup
The TI-GEAR-C is built around one principle: your primary scope stays in place and keeps its zero.
Operators invest significant time and ammunition establishing zero on their primary optic. A clip-on thermal scope that requires re-zeroing after attachment defeats that investment. The TI-GEAR-C attaches in front of the objective lens of your day scope and passes the thermal image through the existing optic to your eye, preserving zero completely.
The six available objective lens options allow the TI-GEAR-C to be matched to the magnification and field of view of the host scope. A 25mm lens suits shorter ranges and wider fields of view. A 100mm lens extends detection range to 4.5 km for long-range surveillance and target acquisition roles.
For a compact thermal clip-on designed specifically for use with night vision devices rather than day scopes, the TICON thermal clip-on for night vision covers that role. It is lighter, optimized for short to medium range, and designed to work in front of NVGs rather than day optics.

Thermal Clip-On Scope vs Standalone Thermal Sight
The choice between a thermal clip-on scope and a standalone thermal weapon sight comes down to one question: do you want to keep your existing optic or replace it?
Thermal clip-on scope A clip-on thermal scope sits in front of your existing day scope. Your primary optic stays in place, your ballistic zero is untouched, and you can switch between day and thermal operation without changing anything on the weapon. This is the right choice if you have invested in a quality day scope and want to add thermal capability without starting over.
Standalone thermal weapon sight A standalone thermal sight replaces your primary optic entirely. It has its own integrated reticle, display, and adjustment system. This is the better choice for operators who want a dedicated thermal platform and do not need to switch between day and thermal on the same weapon.
The TI-GEAR-C is the clip-on option. For the standalone thermal weapon sight, the TI-GEAR-S covers that role with the same shutterless Auto-NUC sensor technology.
Frequently Asked Questions
A clip-on thermal scope is a thermal imaging device that attaches in front of an existing day scope’s objective lens. It converts the thermal image into a visible image that is passed through the host scope to the shooter’s eye. Because it sits in front of the optic rather than replacing it, ballistic zero is preserved and the shooter can switch between day and thermal operation without removing or re-zeroing any equipment.
No. The TI-GEAR-C is designed for zero-disturbance attachment. It clips onto the objective end of your existing scope without contacting the turrets or adjustment mechanisms, preserving your established ballistic zero.
